Lorraine Delano Cohen, age 96, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 27, 2024, in Medina, Ohio. She was born on June 28, 1928, in Everett, Massachusetts to the late George and Helen (Mason) Delano.

Lorraine was a talented crafter and seamstress. She enjoyed sewing and making porcelain dolls. She was a gifted organist who also played the accordion and just generally loved music. Above all, she was passionate and devoted to her family. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she will be greatly missed.

Lorraine is survived by her son, Gary (Sylvia) Cohen; daughter, Doreen (Bobby) Binnie; her grandchildren, Richard Cohen, Steven (Ashley) Cohen, Andrew (Camille) Cohen, Jacqueline (Jason Jones) Cohen, Chelsea Binnie, Robert (Megan) Binnie, and Kenny (Kristi) O'Neal; great grandchildren, Thomas, Ansley, Harper, Chase, Caroline, Peyton, Lincoln, and Eloise; sisters, Patricia (John) Garofano, and Delores (Al) Lunt; along with many nieces and nephews and a lifetime of cherished friends.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, William Snider Cohen; her parents; her son, Richard Cohen; and her siblings, Thomas Delano, George "Lefty" Delano, Walter (Barbara) Delano, Jo Ann Lamonde, Dorothy Delano, Barbara (Jim) Pendley and Elizabeth (Ted) Borella.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256 immediately followed by her funeral service at 1:00 p.m.   Interment will take place at Lake View Cemetery, 12316 Euclid Ave Cleveland, Ohio 44106 following the service.
