Louise Marcella Jeffries, 80, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on April 2, 2025. She was born January 7, 1945, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Barbara (nee Mikoch) Lucas. Louise lived a life defined by hard work, love, and an unwavering dedication to her family.

She worked for many years as an LPN in the Intensive Care Unit at Brentwood Hospital and later as a Nursing Supervisor at Evergreen Nursing Home, where she was known for her compassionate care and tireless work ethic. She also worked as a cashier at Buehler's for more than 30 years. Small but mighty, Louise was known for her stubbornness, but also her willingness to help anyone in need, including animals. She helped rescue and raise two black labs (Cheyanne and Abbey), who she loved dearly.

Louise had a creative and caring spirit, excelling in cake decorating, crafting, and always finding ways to bring happiness to those around her. She worked two jobs for much of her life, embodying resilience and selflessness. She loved bingo, shopping, and watching the Hallmark Channel, but above all, she was fiercely devoted to her family—always willing to give the shirt off her back to those in need.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Jeffries, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship until his passing in December 2008; and her parents, Joseph and Barbara Lucas. She is survived by her children, Joanne Jeffries-Griffor (Matthew), Bonnie Jeffries (James Mihevic, deceased), and Robert Jeffries; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph (Ashlie), Nicholas, Rachel, and Tess; and her dear sister, Caroline (Paul) Semproch.

The family will welcome guests to celebrate Louise's life at a casual reception in her honor on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio. Please feel free to stop by between 12:00 and 3:00 pm, and enter through the door marked "Family Center" on the west end of the building.
