Obituary

Lucille Clark, a former long-time resident of Westfield Center, passed away recently in Sun City AZ. She was 101 years old.

Lucille was born in the small town of Dillonvale, OH. While growing up, she attended school there and also worked in her grandfather's general store. After graduation from Dillonvale High School; she attended The Ohio State University, majoring in Education. Upon receiving her college degree, she began her teaching career at Westfield School where she taught until the founding of the Cloverleaf Local School District. She then taught at Cloverleaf High School until her retirement. Her teaching career spanned over four decades and in some cases across two family generations, teaching sets of parents and their children.

Preceding her in death, were her husband, "Gene" Clark; also an educator and the first principal at Cloverleaf; her brother Stanley, and nephew David. Also her parents; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Lucille is survived by her two sons, Ken (Gayle) and John (Bridget); two granddaughters, Leslie and Whitney (Steven); great-granddaughter Charlie; sister Lois (Frank); nephew Scott and sister-in-law Sharon.

A "Celebration of Lucille's Life" will be held on October 17, 2025 at the LeRoy United Methodist Church located at 7 Park Circle, Westfield Center, OH. The casual celebration will begin at 10:30 am. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to LeRoy United Methodist Church; PO Box 327, Westfield Center, OH 44251.
