Obituary

Madeline Helen Fecik (nee: Kuzo), age 93, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Strongsville, Ohio. She was born in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Mary Kuzo.

Madeline dedicated many years of her professional life working as a secretary for U.S. Steel and Sears, Inc., near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she was deeply connected to her church communities, including St. Hedwig Church in Duquesne, Pennsylvania; St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Munhall, Pennsylvania; and St. Emilian Byzantine Catholic Church in Brunswick, Ohio.

She cherished the simple joys of life — especially time spent with her beloved husband, Gene. Madeline enjoyed walks outdoors, traveling together to Las Vegas, the deserts of Arizona, and memorable trips to Florida and Niagara Falls. She also loved word puzzles and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, John, Michael, Martha, and Virginia.

Madeline is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Eugene "Gene"; her daughter, Julie Thibault; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Emilian Byzantine Catholic Church, 1231 Substation Rd., Brunswick, Ohio 44212. Madeline will be laid to rest at Holy Spirit Cemetery in Parma, Ohio.
