Marcia L. Braun, 86, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024. Born March 1, 1938, in Battle Creek, Michigan, Marcia was the beloved daughter of Howard and Lyndell (Edmonds) Smith.

Marcia dedicated her life to embodying kindness, compassion, and commitment to serving her community. She worked as a nurse for the majority of her career, and also as a nursery school teacher. She was a devoted member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Medina, Ohio, and enriched the lives of many as a pianist and choir member. She volunteered her time to craft Braille Bibles at multiple different churches, and enjoyed annual travel adventures with her friends abroad to multiple different locations including China, Europe, and African Safaris.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lyndell Smith; and her son, Paul Braun. She is survived by her son, Joel Braun (Jamie Black); her daughter-in-law, Lisa Braun; and her grandchildren, Madison Braun (Lexi Treeger), Riley Braun (Owen Zeiter), and Andrew Braun. She is also survived by her brother, David Smith.

The family will welcome guests from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home in Medina, OH (765 N Court St.). A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Medina, OH (3355 Medina Rd.) with an hour of visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Marcia will be laid to rest privately at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina.
