Margarete Anneliese Leggett, affectionately known as Marliese, age 89, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on October 7, 2024. She was born to the late Reinhard Paul and Margaret Louise (Hohmann) Latzke on March 11, 1935, in Möers, Germany. Marliese was an active and devout member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and served on the Altar Guild. She was also a member of Medina Family Campers' Club, Order of the Eastern Star, #266, and the Lund Loni Circle of King's Daughters. Marliese volunteered for the Red Cross at Medina Hospital for many years. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with family and friends.

Marliese is survived by her daughters, Karen Leggett-Price and Linda Cirincione (Tory); her grandchildren, Heather Price, Grant Price, Blake Price, Ross Cirincione (Loren), Natalie Cirincione, and Maria Cirincione; her great granddaughter, Juliana Cirincione; her sisters-in-law, Connie Latzke and Barbara Lang; her nieces Nicole Mastney (David), Jennifer and Lisa; nephews Chris, Mark and Tim. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Richard "Dick" Leggett; her sister, Else Latzke Svoboda; her brother, Paul Latzke; her brother-in-laws, Ronald Svoboda and David Leggett (Pam); her nieces, Susan Svoboda and Robin Svoboda Giese; and her nephew, Brian Svoboda.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256, and from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church on Saturday. Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 400 N. Broadway St., Medina, OH 44256. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Spring Grove Cemetery in Medina, Ohio.
