Margitta (nee Voelkel) Seifert, Age 84 of Brunswick passed away June 22, 2025, at The Sanctuary in Wadsworth after a long period of declining health. She was born on November 11, 1940, in Enger, Germany to the late Friedrich and Elisabeth (nee Ellerbrok) Voelkel.

Margitta emigrated to the United States in the 1960's and became a naturalized U.S. Citizen in 2007. Margitta worked for many years doing custom framing. Margitta was very creative and often could be found shopping at flea markets and garage sales looking for antiques. But she will be remembered most as a friend to all with a good sense of humor and wit.

Margitta is survived by her daughter Claudia (William J.) Horton of Sharon Township, son Marcus of Kent, and her beloved grandson Alexander Horton.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Fred, her parents and her brother Manfred Voelkel.
