Marilyn Hawkins, 79, of Medina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield, Missouri, on January 28, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Annabell (Joplin) Meyers.

A compassionate and dedicated nurse, Marilyn earned her bachelor's degree in nursing and devoted over 45 years to providing exceptional care within the healthcare community. Her unwavering commitment to newborns and their families was evident to all who had the privilege of working alongside her. After retiring, Marilyn moved to Medina, Ohio to be closer to her family, especially her cherished granddaughter, Sadie.

Marilyn found joy in quilting, listening to audiobooks, and sharing recipes. She also had a deep love for dogs and birds and supported the Animal Rescue League through charitable donations. Marilyn treasured spending time with her family and visiting with friends, always bringing warmth and kindness to those around her.

She is survived by her daughter, Suzy (Don) Addleman; her granddaughter, Sadie Martin; and a lifetime of colleagues and friends whose lives she touched with her compassion and dedication.

A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at a later date in Iowa, and she will be laid to rest in Missouri.
