Marilyn Irene Williams, age 95, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on May 14, 2026 in Medina, Ohio. She was born to the late Herman and Ottilie (Klausmeyer) Michalske on July 24, 1930 in Berea, Ohio.
Marilyn lived a life rooted in love, friendship, family, and simple joys. She had a heart of gold, was patient and never spoke an unkind word. Known for her beautiful red hair, freckles, and warm green eyes, she remained young at heart throughout her life and brought warmth and laughter wherever she went.
A 1948 graduate of Berea High School, she later attended Valparaiso University. She worked at Cleveland Trust from 1950 to 1953, where she met her lifelong best friend, Pearl — a friendship that remained dear to her for life.
At just 15 years old, she met the love of her life, Ronnie, at the Variety Theatre in Lakewood. Their love story continued while Ronnie served overseas in the Army in Germany, where he proposed to her from afar. They were married in July of 1953 and built a beautiful life together filled with devotion, laughter, and family memories.
The couple honeymooned at Lake George, New York, a place they returned to many times over the years with their growing family. Together, they enjoyed countless family vacations across the country, visiting relatives and dear friends along the way.
She and Ronnie were part of a close-knit group of five couples affectionately known as “The Gang,” whose friendships enriched their lives for many years. She was also a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, where her faith and community remained important throughout her life.
For 69 years, she made her home on Highland Avenue, creating a place where family always felt welcome. She was a devoted caretaker to many family members and gave generously of her time and compassion.
She will always be remembered for bringing her famous lemon breeze dessert to every family gathering, for sitting peacefully on her patio or in her sunroom watching the clouds drift by and birds flutter past, and most especially for the love she gave so freely to her family.
To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was more than a grandmother — she was their favorite playmate and source of endless affection. Her playful spirit, loving heart, and joyful presence will remain treasured memories to all who knew her.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Linda Stacey, Paulette Pasko, Rhonda Williams (Scott Latone), Ted Williams (Deirdre) and Renee Milliken (Fred); grandchildren Natalie Cox (Bradley), Rhett Stacey (Ginny), Suzy Hutcheson (Adam), Carly Pasko (Lisa Casarona), Evan Kocka (Kelly), Brandon Rapier (Hannah Sedely), Chad Rapier (Emily Pietrasz), Jared Rapier, Michael Milliken (Deanna) and Matthew Milliken; great-grandchildren Zachary, Cameron, Olivia, Xander, Cade, Leah, Haley, Lillian, Josephine, Lucas and Everley. She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 63 years, Ronald Williams; and her brother and sister-in-law Donald and Marilyn Michalske.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Marilyn will be laid to rest at Eastlawn Memory Gardens with Ronald in Brunswick, Ohio.
