Mario Flores Ortiz, 90, of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Cleveland.  He was born January 19, 1930 in Mexico City, Mexico to the late Wilfrido and Aurora Ortiz.  Mario was a language teacher for 40 years in California.  He was a founder of Brunswick Art Works, enjoyed drawing, painting, and wood carving.  He also traveled extensively.  He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Barbara (nee Barna) Ortiz, son Ricardo (Ladawan) Ortiz of Thailand, daughter Viviana (Bill) Mahoney of Atlanta, Ga, granddaughter Selma Mahoney, brother Antonio and sister Aurora.  He is preceded in death by his first wife Gloria, sisters Rosa Maria, Guillermina, and Theresa, and brothers Wilfrido, Sergio, and Carlos. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, 11:00 AM at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, OH 44212.
