Marjorie Ann Woodward

Marjorie Ann (Moll) Woodward, born November 13, 1931, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 4 at the age of 94.

Marjorie was the beloved daughter of Walter and Florence (Becker) Moll. She graduated from Strongsville High School, where she was valedictorian of her class. After a short stint at BGSU, Marge went into the workforce and had a long and fulfilling career, beginning in real estate and later working for the Veterans Administration in Brecksville, before eventually transferring to the Naval Air Station in Key West, Florida.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Woodward, her daughter, Patricia (Mark) Praznik, and former husband, Lawrence Horstman.

She is survived by her daughters, Gayle (Jim) Hayas and Bonnie Clark; stepdaughter Cindy Platz, her son, Scott Horstman (Diane); as well as 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Marjorie will be remembered and deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of bringing laughter and joy to those around her. She enjoyed watching Cleveland baseball, Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, and especially Magnum,PI; Tom Selleck was her favorite. Her love of family, her sense of humor, and the simple pleasures she enjoyed will remain cherished memories for all who knew and loved her. Marge leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that her family will hold close always.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Waite Funeral Home located at 3300 Center Rd. Brunswick, Ohio on Sunday, September 13, from 2-5pm. On September 14, a service will be held at Waite at 11 am, and she will be laid to rest at Ohio's Western Reserve National Cemetery. In honor of Marge and her love of Cleveland sports, guests are invited to wear Cleveland team gear.
