Marsha Joan (Medley) Reed - Bryant was born on June 13, 1941, to David Nathaniel Medley and Rosalie Medley (Peek) in Lodi, Ohio.
Marsha accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Medina, Ohio, where her parents were members.
Marsha attended Buckeye High School, graduating in 1959. After high school, she moved to Toledo, Ohio, where she attended the University of Toledo. In 1960, she married Lemar Reed. From this union, they had two children: David (Cuyahoga Falls) and Scott (Cleveland).
Marsha was employed by the University of Tennessee, where she worked in the Botany Department for over 25 years. Subsequently, she moved to Orlando, Florida, where she worked in the insurance industry for several years before returning home to care for her mother. She was a patriotic individual who enlisted in the Navy Reserves, where she also served active duty. Notably, she had the honor of being in Panama during the transfer of the Panama Canal back to Panama.
Following her first marriage to Lemar Reed, Marsha was united in holy matrimony to her childhood friend, Benjamin Bryant. Marsha and Ben were married for 26 years until his passing in 2019.
Marsha Reed, a beloved grandmother, passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 90. She is survived by her children, David (Lisbeth) Reed and Edward Scott Reed, and their respective families. Her grandchildren include Cory Reed, Nathaniel Reed, Davion, Cortez, Khyler, Jayce, Aliyah, Daxton, and Garret.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, David (Jack) and Rosalie Medley, and her brother, David (Jackie) Medley. She is also survived by her nieces, Shari Lynn and Stephanie Anne Medley, of Los Angeles, California.
Marsha’s legacy extends beyond her immediate family, as she touched the lives of many others. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
