Mary Alice Gettemy, age 80, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025. She was born October 24, 1944, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Herbert and Mable (nee Saxton) Rupe.

Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who dedicated her life to her family and community. She was an active member of Moose Lodge 918 and found joy in volunteering with the Salvation Army.

She is survived by her sons, Brian (Maureen) Mynhier and Michael (Michelle) Lester; her sister, Esther; as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Gettemy, and six siblings.

Mary's family wants to extend a special thank you to Elara Caring Hospice and especially to the staff of the Inn at Apple Ridge in Richfield who cared for Mary as if she were their own loved one.
