Mary Ellen Kreiner, age 87, passed away on August 30, 2026. She was born on March 19, 1939 in West Virginia, to the late Raymond and Mary (Jordon) Thomas.
Mary was a selfless and loving woman who found joy in caring for others and being there whenever she was needed. She loved God, her family, the outdoors, and creating things with her hands. She especially enjoyed crafting, including ceramics and making custom greeting cards that she lovingly created and share with others. She also had a true appreciation for good food and the simple joys of life. Mary will be remembered for her generous heart, creative spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she gave so freely to everyone around her.
Mary is survived by her loving children Steven (Jean) Kreiner, Terry Kreiner, Treva (Jeff) Davis, and Christopher (Deb) Kreiner, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Bev Kreiner; sons-in-law Jack Pendleton and Richard Ross; numerous cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her siblings Ray Thomas, Anna Belle Wever, Velma Thomas.
Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Christopher T. Kreiner, Sr.; sons, David and Randall Kreiner; her daughters Wanda Pendleton and Deborah Ross, and her siblings Bernard Thomas, Beatrice Jones, Barbara Farnsworth.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 12 Noon on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court, Medina, OH 44256. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12 Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor Ray Sanders will officiate. She will be laid to rest with her husband Christopher at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Altercare in Wadsworth for their genuine and compassionate care given to Mary and to Absolute Hospice for their guidance.
