Mary Anne Mahony, age 69, passed away on January 7, 2022, in Medina, Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 30, 1952, in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Patrick Joseph and Anne Rose (Vicchio) Hendricks. She, along with her husband Jim co-owned their business, Blood Courier Inc. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life and was the happiest when surrounded by her family. She loved hosting gatherings and always made celebrations special. Mary enjoyed exploring Metroparks on the weekends with her husband, Jim. She was a baker and widely known for her apple cake and blackberry pie. She was an avid gardener and grew beautiful flowers all over her yard in the spring and summer time. She loved to go shopping and had a knack for decorating her home. She had a smile that radiated love and lit up every room. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, James T. Mahony; loving children, Tim (Autumn) Mahony, Ed Mahony, and Margo Mahony; cherished grandchildren, Hope, James, and Summer 'Daisy'; dear mother Anne Hendricks; siblings, Patrick 'Butch' (Clara) Hendricks, Jr., Adele Hendricks (Vahe), and Scott Hendricks; grand puppy Carlos; and a lifetime of collected friends.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Maureen Mahony; sister, Joan Hendricks; and her father, Patrick Joseph Hendricks.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 11:00 to 12:00 prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon at St. Colette Catholic Church, 330 W 130 th Street, Brunswick, Ohio 44212. An interment at Woodvale Cemetery will follow the mass.
