Mary Ann Passalacqua (née Mannino), age 72, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026. She was born January 27, 1953, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Salvatore and Lena (Calamia) Mannino. She was the beloved wife of Salvatore Passalacqua, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage, until his passing in 2009.
Born in Cleveland, Mary Ann attended Cleveland Public Schools, graduating from John Marshall High School in 1971. Following her marriage to Sal in 1974, Mary Ann relocated to Long Island, New York and began a career with TWA and American Airlines at JFK International Airport. Upon retirement she moved back to Ohio to be closer to family
She is survived by her siblings, John (Kim) Mannino and Matthew (Denise) Mannino; nieces, Tanna (Michael) Lanza, Hallie (Patrick) Phelan, Francesca (Chris) Powell, and Bianca Passalacqua; great-nieces, Lena Lanza, Sloane Phelan, Enza Patterson, and Gianna Powell; great-nephews, Joseph Lanza, Johnny Phelan, and Christopher Powell; sister-in-law, Theresea Passalacqua; brother-in-law, Vincent Passalacqua; best friend, Joni Reindle; beloved extended family, cousins and friends; and her faithful companion, dog Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sal; her parents, Salvatore and Lena Mannino; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mannino.
The family would like to thank all family and friends who helped Mary Ann throughout her illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at St Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio, with visitation at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
"Though I know I'll never lose affection for people and things that went before, I know I'll often stop and think about them, in my life, I love you more." Always in our hearts.
