Mary L. Pursley Parsons

Mary L. Pursley Parsons, 93 years old of Ft. Worth, Texas, passed away on August 17, 2026. She was born on September 15, 1932 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Harley and Orva Short.

She was a bookkeeper and devoted homemaker who found joy in the simple things in life. She loved reading, cross-stitching, and spending time with family and friends. A faithful member of Grace Baptist Church when she lived in Ohio, she will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her son Stephen (Cindi) Pursley; step-daughter Susan (Dave) Schultz; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a brother Allen Short. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Charles A Pursley, second husband Orville E. Withrow, third husband Nelson D. Parsons, son Charles Scott Pursley, and siblings Ray Short, Carol Evans, Don Short, and Hershal Short.
