Mary M. Stickney, age 79 of Brunswick, peacefully passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026. She was born on August 10, 1946, in Montgomery, West Virginia to Charles and Madeline (nee Dorman) Jacobs.  Mary enjoyed cooking and worked in the kitchen preparing food for the Sisters of St. Joseph at Mary Mount convent. She was a long-time member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She belonged to the Women's Guild, Busy Bee's and worked Bingo. Mary liked shopping, especially for shoes.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to celebrate Mary's life is her beloved husband of 50 years, Dennis; her brother, Charles T. "Jake" Jacobs; her loving nieces and nephews, Janine Johnson, Jesse Miller, Justine Miller, Jamie Miller, Joseph Jacobs, Jennifer Jacobs, Tracy White, and Chuck Jacobs; her grandnieces and grandnephews, Heather, Amber, Alex, Craig, Scott, Jolene, Max, Lilly (dec), Riley, Jet, Nick, Kate, and Tyler; and numerous extended family and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her siblings, Larry Jacobs, Shirley Miller, and Joe Jacobs.

Family will welcome friends from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home located at 3300 Center Road in Brunswick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at St. Ambrose Church, 929 Pearl Road in Brunswick at 10am (with 1-hour prior visitation beginning at 9am). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Mary's honor to the St. Ambrose Women's Guild.
