Obituary

Mary Ann Vann, age 88, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on January 19, 2023. She was born to Wilbur and Regina (Tuczynski) Armbruster on February 12, 1934, in Elyria, Ohio. Mary Ann was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a piano teacher to many children in Medina. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from St. John's College in Cleveland. She was the president of Medina AFS Student Exchange Program for many years.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Regina Vann Hickok (Ralph) and Katherine Vann; her nephew, Daniel Holt (Paula); her niece, Sandra Warman (Mike); and her honorary sons, Jose Coelho of Brazil and Mario Vacchetta Boggino of Paraguay. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Gene Vann; and her sister, Rita Holt (Ralph).

The family requests donations to be made in Mary Ann's name to Hospice of Western Reserve Medina, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH 44256.

Visitation services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St. Mass will be Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E Washington St, Medina, OH 44256. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Medina.
