Michael L.
Brookshire
March 6, 1961 – April 14, 2025
Michael L. Brookshire, 64, passed unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep on April 14, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength.
Mike graduated from Nordonia High School in 1979 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, where he was a sharpshooter and taught photography.
To know Michael was to feel comforted by his steady presence and generous heart. He was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from being a husband, father, grandfather, and loyal friend. His family was his world, and he gave his love to them freely, without hesitation. He loved the outdoors. His hobbies included sailing, scuba diving, and camping, just to name a few. Animals held a special place in his heart-he always found joy in their company.
Michael was looking forward to retirement, ready to embrace the next chapter of life with excitement and peace. Though his journey was cut short, we take comfort in knowing he is now in paradise—watching over us, preparing the way for his girls and grandson with the same love and care he gave in life.
Michael was proceeded in death by his father, Jim Brookshire. He is survived by his mother, Jeanette (nee Lytton), his loving wife Annette (nee DiMarco), cherished daughters, Maria Lynn and Katie, his best buddy and grandson, Jake, brothers Jim (Debbie), David (Nancy), sister Vicki Ackley, his beloved dog Jessie as well as many other family members, friends and colleagues.
He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always cherished.
A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Brunswick Eagles, 349 Pearl Rd., Brunswick.
