Michael Neal Farris, 86, of Medina, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Mike was born on September 18, 1939, in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Glen and Virgie (Ruddle) Farris.

Mike had a strong faith in God and a deep love for his family. He worked as a grocer and retired following many years of service from Geyers Foods. He and his wife, Peg, enjoyed traveling and were able to visit all but 5 states. Mike liked taking field trips, driving across the countryside. He was a car enthusiast as well and loved attending various car shows. He thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors. Mike was a United States veteran and proudly served in the Army National Guard. His hobbies included playing cards, reading and working on puzzles. He was also an avid baseball fan and followed his team, the Cleveland Guardians. His favorite dessert was chocolate cake. Most of all Mike loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who loved him right back!

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Farris.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peg (Rabung) Farris, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage; daughters, Beth (Mike) Nickley, Amy (Jim Grannis) Farris, and Jill (Paul) Oleksiak; grandchildren, Will (Kayla) Nickley, Alex (Heidi Rodeffer) Nickley, Ben Nickley, Kate (Ricky Rodrigues) Nickley, and Kevin (Alyssa) Nickley, Chloe (Sean) Williams, Ellie (Rees Wyant) Hamrick, and Neil (Claire Brewer) Hamrick, and Maggie and Ryan Oleksiak; great – grandchildren, Arbor Nickley, Hattie Nickley, Bruce Nickley, Jane Williams and 1 on the way; sister, Janet McBurney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
