Michael Ray Jackson, age 71 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 3, 2023, in Medina, Ohio. Michael was born on September 9, 1951 in Evansville, Indiana to parents, Billy and Margie (Smith) Jackson. Michael was a member of the Masonic Society and attended many Mission trips. He was an accomplished woodworker and enjoyed woodworking. He loved being outdoors, especially fishing but anyone who knew him well, knew he was a Bourbon connoisseur and loved his family.  After fighting 2 different cancers for years.His strong faith is what got him through life. He was blessed to do a couple of missions trips. Vacations with family, Friday night family dinners. He loved living life like he was dying, so he was so adventurous.

Michael is survived by his wife of 45 years, Tammie (Burgess) Jackson; children, Kelli (JR) Sanders, Sarah Jackson, Jaqalynn Wallace, Jasmine Wallace, Matthew Wallace, and Daniel Wallace; grandchildren, Ryleigh Sanders, and Destin Crouch; great grandchildren, Sage Zacharias, and soon to be MJ; he was an uncle, great uncle, and great-great uncle; and was surrounded by a lifetime of collected friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Margie (Smith) Jackson, his sons, Mike Jr. and Jeremiah, along with his sister Sandy Banig.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court St, Medina, OH 44256, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 pm.
