Michael J. Veverka, age 61 passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018. He was born May 11, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio to Edward A. and Shirley A. (Peck) Veverka. After graduating from Valley Forge High School, Michael was very proud and honored to follow in his father's footsteps by joining the United States Marines. Eventually Michael found himself working for the City of Wadsworth Electric Department. It was during this time that he met and married his friend and true love, Cindy Turley. He often said that marrying Cindy was one of the best things he ever did and most would certainly agree. Together they created one beautiful blended family.

Michael's hobbies were many. He had a deep appreciation for Mother Nature and the great outdoors. He enjoyed fly fishing for Trout in the cool waters of Pennsylvania in the spring, and in the fall he would head back to camp for deer hunting with his friends: Arnie, Dan, and Jim. He loved to have his 'knees in the breeze' as he would say about riding his Harley. He valued quality vacation time with his family and the pure joy of holding Cindy in his arms when they went ballroom dancing.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Cindy (Overcash) Veverka; children, Amy (Jared) McCune, Eric Veverka, and Joseph (Nikki) Turley; grandchildren, Tyler, Beverly, Patience, Madelyn, and Liam; his mother, Shirley A. Veverka; his sister Gayle Lemke; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward A. Veverka and his brother, Gary Veverka.

A visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home 765 N. Court Street, Medina, OH 44256. A memorial service will be held immediately following visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Jerry Burton officiating.
