Mildred Brown, age 90, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026. Born April 12, 1935, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mildred was the only child of Frank and Mary (Mokry) Oschchypok.

Mildred spent most of her life devoted to her home and family, proudly embracing her role as a homemaker. Mildred had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed cooking, grocery shopping, and tending to her vegetable garden. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and their friends, often welcoming neighborhood children and making sure everyone was well fed. She also enjoyed relaxing at home watching television, a pastime she truly cherished.

Mildred is survived by her devoted son, Timothy (Kimberly) Brown; her beloved grandchildren, Ethan Brown and Gillian Brown; and her dear cousins, Stephanie Hopp and Debra (Ron) Giachetti. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Oshchypok; her husband, John Wonnerth; and her son, William "Billy" Soerries, Jr.

The family will welcome guests from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick.  A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Mildred will be laid to rest at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
