Myra June Johnson (nee Riggs), 77, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's and Lung Cancer. Myra was born in Huntington, West Virginia, on December 9,1947. She was a long time resident of Medina and Brunswick, Ohio, where she met and married the love of her life, Dennis Miles Johnson in 1965.

For 53 years she was a very talented hair designer, esthetician, makeup artist, and during many of those years, a successful Salon Owner of Hairitage Court in Medina. Her passion for making everyone look and feel special was a truly talented gift. Her unconditional love and admiration for her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life. She loved hosting Holiday gatherings and giving her loved ones the most thoughtful and beautifully wrapped gifts.

She enjoyed weekend Amish Country getaways with her cousins, who were more like sisters. Many Gatlinburg, Tennessee, vacations where great memories were made on the Gatlinburg Strip and at Dollywood. Her grandchildren will never forget their fun "Grandma J" getaway adventures in her green Mountainaire equipped with movie screens to keep all eight content.

After retiring she enjoyed crafting, decorating, shopping, attending Scholarship Pageants and Musicals, bird & deer watching right in her front yard and she especially loved spending time eating out and traveling with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sol Kenneth and Pearlene Riggs; in-laws, Homer Kennedy and Ethel Johnson, brother-in-law, Tom Johnson and beloved husband, Dennis Johnson of 45 years.

She is survived by her pride and joys; her children, their spouses and her grandchildren. Lisa (Eric) Hall, Jacob and Madison Hall. Randy (Julie) Johnson, Brooke (Trevor) Zehnder, Branden, Brady and Boston Johnson.  Rodney (Karen Glover) Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Payton (Ian) Kort.
Great- grandchildren, Presley Zehnder, Emery Kort and Parker Zehnder.

Siblings; Dennis Riggs, Arlene Riggs, Denise (Robert) Knepp, Rodger (Doreen) Riggs, cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Myra will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered by her favorite things. Think of her when you see a chickadee, rooster, owl, ladybug, frog or deer. When you enjoy a glass of wine or a cold coca-cola. When you eat a spinach salad with salmon, butternut squash soup and especially Gionino's Hawaiian pizza. When you indulge in a cream puff, Boston cream pie or Donutland donuts. When you enjoy Autumn changing leaves and vibrant colors of Fall with decorative pumpkins and cornstalks. Anything Christmas...the birth of Jesus, Snowmen, Deer, Ice skates and especially Santa Claus.

Family and friends are welcome Monday, April 7, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd (Rt 303) Brunswick, Ohio. Service at 6:00 PM with Pastor Doug Gunkelman officiating.

Myra will be laid to rest, privately, next to her husband at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley, Ohio.
