Norma Jean "Jeanne" James passed away peacefully on January 23, 2025, in Medina, Ohio at the age of 93. She was 1 ½ pounds when she was born in The Plains, Ohio in 1931. Known for both her kind and gentle spirit and her tenacity, Jeanne worked as a waitress and then for General Motors before dedicating herself to raising her family. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and a grandmother and she will be fondly remembered for her beautiful laugh and for taking care of family and friends. Although she had to leave high school to support her family, she and her husband returned to school in their 50s to earn their GED to set an example of the importance of education for their son. Donald James, her beloved husband of 50 years, passed away in 2019 and she is survived by her son, Buddy James, and his wife, Aileen Adriano, who live in California with her grandchildren, Emilia Rose and Lionel James.
