Patricia Anne Rickard

Patricia Anne Rickard, 96 years old, of Seville, Ohio passed away on August 10, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1929 in Medina, Ohio to the late Gordon S. and Ethel M. (Fuller) Holden.

She was an active and devoted member of her church, Medina UCCC, and a woman of faith whose kindness and warmth touched all who knew her. Patricia served on many committees and groups and was a longtime member of the King’s Daughters. She found joy in tending her garden, gathering with friends for a game of bridge, and cheering on her beloved Cleveland sports teams, especially the “Indians”. A lifelong traveler with her late husband, Ed, she treasured the opportunity to explore the world and experience different people and places. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and were a constant source of pride. Her love, grace, and generous spirit within her family, church and community will be deeply missed and she will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children Christine Sena (Dominic), Dirk Rickard, Jon Rickard (Kay), Rebecca Marshall (Robert), Kathryn McCourt (Mark), Mark Rickard (Kim); grandchildren Alyson Brown (Christopher), Nicholas Sena (Claire), Krista Pelfrey (Kyle), Katy Braford (Zack), Emily Mele (Tyler), Margaret Miller (Casey), Ethan McCourt, Rachel McCourt (Ty), Grace McCourt, Isaac McCourt (Brianna), Cole Rickard (Natalie), Andrew Rickard (fiancé Norah); great-grandchildren Leonardo, Everly, Beatrice, Karter, Konnor, Emerson, Lazaro; sister Susan Lopater; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Edwin Dallis Rickard; sister Janice Buck; and her brothers Thomas Holden and James Holden.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at United Church of Christ Congregational, 217 E. Liberty St., Medina, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be led by Reverend Dr. Luke Lindon promptly at 12:30 p.m. She will be privately laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery with her husband, Ed..
