Patrick Henry Thauvette, age 81, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away on January 30, 2025. Born December 18, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Roy and Susanne (née Kroger) Thauvette, Patrick was a devoted family man, a proud Army veteran, and a talented electrical engineer.

Patrick was married to his beloved wife, Linda (née Coughlin), for 50 years until her passing in 2018. His memory will be cherished by his children, Susanna Thauvette, Sharon Thauvette, Patrick R. Thauvette, and Mary Cantrell; grandchildren, April (Aaron) Warfield, Linda Brooks, TJ Brooks, Mariam Chavies, Emerald Gridley, Megan Chavies, and Alexis Cantrell; and great-grandchildren, Robin, Patrick, Roland, Revy, and Percy. He is also survived by his best friend, his dog, Buddy. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Ann; siblings, Alice, Shirley, Lloyd, David, Patsy, Diane, and Joan, as well as his beloved dog, Jack.

Patrick's life was marked by his quick wit, sense of humor, and commitment to fairness. He was often seen riding his scooter around Brunswick Lake with tunes playing and treats ready for the local dogs. He enjoyed his vast collections of Beanie Babies and over 1,000 DVDs. An avid bowler, Patrick loved to show off his "300" ring that he earned for a perfect game.

More than anything, Patrick was admired for his intelligence and the positive impact he left on everyone he met. He taught those around him the importance of being good and fair, and his legacy will live on in everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family will welcome guests on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio. Military honors will be rendered at 4:00 pm, followed by visitation until 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Ambrose Catholic Parish, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick, Ohio.
