Obituary

Paul Rossman, 89, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on December 13, 1935, Paul lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his deep love for family, storytelling, and the joy of bringing people together. He is preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline (Jackie). Paul was a devoted father and proud grandfather. He is survived by his children Mike Rossman (Joan) (Cindy, the former wife of Mike, who was a close friend and bicycle adventurer with Paul) and Linda Boutton, grandchildren David Boutton (Kristen), Emily Rossman, Christopher Boutton, and Samantha Rossman (Steven Kirby); and beloved sister, Pauline Rossman Orr.

Paul and Jackie started their family in Chicago, Illinois and their journey took them from Chicago to New York and New Jersey before eventually settling in Ohio, where he and Jackie built a life filled with family, friendships, and countless memories. Paul was always on the move both in spirit and in action. Paul and Jackie loved taking long-haul trips together to see the country and explore new places, enjoying the open road together. Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his grandchildren. He and Jackie loved taking them up to Sandusky and the lake in the summers to visit Cedar Point, go on fishing trips, and other cherished adventures. Never one to slow down, later in life, Paul found love again with his dear girlfriend, Nancy Clem, who brought him happiness and companionship and kept him exploring in his later years.

One of Paul's favorite things was having everyone gathered together for holidays and celebrations. Whether it was a big family meal, a special occasion, or just an excuse to bring loved ones together, he found immense joy in these moments. A natural host and gifted storyteller, he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and at ease. His quick wit, warmth, and ability to spin a great tale made gatherings with him unforgettable. He was always on the move, embracing life with energy and enthusiasm, and truly enjoyed the company of loved ones.

Paul also had a special place in his heart for animals. He found joy in caring for his birds and dogs and loved when his grandkids' pets came for a visit. His kindness extended to all creatures, and he was always happier with a pet by his side.

Paul's legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His family will continue to honor his memory by sharing his stories, cherishing the traditions he created, and carrying forward his spirit of warmth and kindness.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 2-6 p.m., at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick.

Rest easy, Paul—your stories, your laughter, and your love will never be forgotten.
