Peter (Pete) Eugene Karder, 88, of Medina, passed away April 5, 2026. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 21, 1937, to the late Peter J. and Lucille A. (Heilinger) Karder.

He devoted 40 years in the automotive retail business. He built lasting relationships throughout his career and earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike.

Beyond his career, Peter found joy in boating and fishing and was often the life of the party. His warmth, humor, and natural ability to bring people together made him truly unforgettable.

He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Kathy (Augustus) Karder. He is also survived by his sisters, Rose (Karder) McDaniel and Lucille (Karder) Sinnima; his children, Vicki (Karder) Vaughan, Shelly (Karder) Graziano, and Jeffrey Karder; his step-daughters, Jill (Vokaty) Weston and Karen (Vokaty) Kress.

He was a proud grandfather to Wesley, Alyssa, Kevin, Halle, Samuel, and Lucy; and a cherished step-grandfather (Papa) to Olivia, Julia, Ava, and Connor.

A private celebration will be held in the coming months.
