Ralph Eugene Tolliver (Gene), 89, born September 2, 1935, of Naoma, West Virigina passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving children.

Preceded in death by his wife, Freda Tolliver, and his second wife Emily Tolliver, parents Letha and Riley, siblings Ethel, Peggy, Elsie, Carlos, Helen, Bill, Alfred, Kitty, Bobbi, Lina, and daughter Kim Galvin (Sean).  Gene is survived by his children Vickie Nortz (Greg), Linda Ankney (Dan), Keith Tolliver (Cheryl) his love extended to his twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, with whom he shared countless treasured memories.

Gene began his career at General Motors, where his dedication and drive were evident early on. He embraced his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Gene's Refrigeration more than 60 years ago. With a vision for innovation and a commitment to his community, he built a business that continues to thrive today.

As a man of many passions Gene had a lifelong love of classic cars, spending countless hours restoring cars.  A lifelong learner, he was always curious about the world around him. His love of people made him a joy to be around, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Gene will be remembered as a man who embodied the spirit of entrepreneurship, the importance of family, and a zest for life. His legacy lives on in the lives of those he touched and the business he built.

The family will receive friends at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St. Medina, OH, on Friday, January 24, 4 – 8 PM. A celebration of his life will be held at Waite Funeral Home, on Saturday, January 25, at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Medina.
