Obituary

Ralph E. Rohde, 71, of Valley City, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. Ralph was born on April 26, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Henry and Grace (Beall) Rohde.

Ralph was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1974 graduate of Valley Forge High School. Following graduation he joined the United States Army. He worked for the Teamsters Union 501 and retired after 40 years of service. Ralph was a sweet, caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He always put other people before himself. He was a great family man and enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Ralph was a devout Christian man. He loved his dogs, T and Spanky. He also loved his sweets and coffee.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charlsie (Hughes) Rohde, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage; children, Holly (Michael) Vincent, Robin (Christopher) Cook, Scott (Ashley) Rohde, and Jamie (Tami) Gedeon; grandchildren, Avari, Kennedie, Evan, Gia, Colin, Livy, Greyson, Gabriella, Gabby and Alaina; siblings, Lee (Mary) Butscher, Keith Rohde, and Larry Rohde; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Waite Funeral Home: 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, Ohio 44212, on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 6-8 pm. and on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 10 -11 am, with the funeral service at 11 am.
