Obituary

Raymond J. Carmack, 84, of Hinckley Township Ohio, passed away on February 13, 2025.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Susan Carmack; his children Tony Carmack (Joanna), Rae Lehman (Joseph), Elizabeth Carmack (Luis), and Scott Carmack (Helen); and grandchildren Daniel, Nathan, and Dani.  His devotion to his family will be cherished always.

A skilled carpenter, Raymond's craftsmanship has a lasting legacy, his work remains standing throughout Northeast Ohio.

Raymond proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and Reserve as a radar operator.  Raymond's service included traveling the U.S. as a member of an elite drill platoon.

Raymond had a passion for politics, staying informed about the world.  He loved discussing current events, sharing his insights and thoughtfully debating the issues that mattered most.

Raymond lead an active life.  He played on the winning 1958-59 Holy Redeemer High School Lions basketball team, making a heart-stopping 20 foot jump shot basket that won the game by a single point.  Raymond loved the outdoors and could be found most days outside walking, gardening, or working the land.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m.
