Obituary

Reba M. Boothe, age 95, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, in Brunswick, Ohio. She was born May 24, 1930, in Henry County, Tennessee, to the late Ernest and Clara (Warmack) French.

Reba lived a full and meaningful life rooted in faith, family, and simple joys. A devoted homemaker, she poured her love into caring for others—whether through a warm meal, a kind word, or a helping hand. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her through both blessings and hardships, including the loss of her husband and three children. Through it all, she remained strong, steady, and deeply trusting in God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, John Boothe; her children, Karen, Kathy, and Kenneth; and her siblings, Ernestine Williams and Louis French. Reba will be lovingly remembered by her family, especially her niece, Wanda Kuhn, who cared for her with great devotion, and her nephews, Dennis and Dale Williams.

She had a loving and giving heart, always looking out for others. She was independent and kind, quick to lend a hand—even to those she had just met. Reba found joy in gardening, generously sharing her tomatoes and green beans with neighbors, and in canning what she grew. She loved baking cakes for special occasions and was known for cooking for a crowd, especially her deviled eggs and pigs in a blanket. Her homemade pizza was a favorite and rivaled any found in a restaurant.

Reba had a spirited personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. When asked how she was doing, she was known to smile and say she was "fat and sassy," with a hint of her southern drawl. She also fondly referred to herself as a "tough old bird"—a reflection of the resilience, humor, and strength that carried her through life.

She cherished her home, her faith, and even the quiet companionship of her beloved "Kitty."  Reba saw the good in life, took everything in stride, and lived with a grateful heart. She will be deeply missed, but her strength, warmth, and unwavering faith will continue to live on in those who knew and loved her.
