Richard "Rick" Allyn Brobst, age 73, of Medina, Ohio, passed away on July 19, 2024. He was born to the late Jack Allyn and Andree Martha (Bramont) Brobst on August 28, 1950, in Akron, Ohio. Rick proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a Chaplain's Assistant and was a postal carrier in Medina for 40 years.

Rick will be dearly missed and remembered for his love and laughter as he embraced his family and friends throughout the years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and shared this passion with his son from the moment he could walk. He also found great joy in watching his daughter share her love of horses with her mom. Rick loved being outdoors whenever he could, whether it was golfing, riding his motorcycle, tinkering in his garage, working in the yard, or just admiring the beauty of nature.

Rick is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Carol A. (Muich) Brobst; his children, Jason Brobst (Courtney Stover) and Amy Wendt (Chris); his granddaughters, Calista and Selena Wendt; his sister, Jackie Nicodemus; and his nieces, Gina and Lisa; his mother-in-law Grace Muich; and many cherished in-laws, extended family and friends. He was preceded by his brother-in-law, Dale Nicodemus.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH 44256, immediately followed by the funeral service at 12:30 pm. Rick will be laid to rest with military honors at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made in Rick's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
