Richard D. Welsh of East Liverpool, Ohio passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023.

Richard, known to friends and family as Rick, was born to Joseph F. Welsh and Della Peace Parsons in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on November 3, 1952. Rick grew up in East Liverpool, Ohio loving sports and proud to play football for the East Liverpool Potters. He graduated high school in 1971. After the closing of the steel mills, he moved with his family in 1985 to Medina, Ohio where he continued to work hard and share his love for his family and the outdoors until his passing. He also enjoyed fishing, walking and golf–he even managed a hole in one.

Rick is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Marsha (Standley) Welsh, their two children Rob and Jessica and their five grandsons, Simon, Milo, Sebastian, Oliver and Leo. Rick is also survived by one sibling, Rod Welsh, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two older brothers Bob and Ray.

If you were fortunate enough to know Rick you would understand that he was a man of few words but tremendous emotion. He was a private man who never wished to bother others with his own troubles or worries. Therefore, in accordance with his own wishes, the family will not be holding a memorial at this time. His last wish was that you remember him often and fondly in your own way.
