Robert William Barker, 96, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. Born in Big Creek, West Virginia, Robert proudly served in the United States Army and was active during the Korean Conflict. His life was marked by dedication-to his country, to his work, and above all, to his family.

Robert found joy in simple, meaningful moments. He loved family gatherings, playing horseshoes, fishing, and fixing cars. He was known for his steady hands, warm presence, and the way he made everyone around him feel cared for.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Doss (Donald Doss); his grandchildren, Donald Doss Jr. (Rhyna), Jessica Shellenbarger (Andrew Shellenbarger), and Aaron Doss (Lauren Callahan); and 13 great-great grandchildren, all of whom brought immense pride and happiness to his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Madeline Barker, as well as his daughter Ada and her husband Mike McQueeney.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 6-8 p.m., at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11 a.m.  Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville.
