Robert C. Berg, 77, passed away on May 20, 2016 in Olive Branch, MS after a brief battle with cancer and a 6 year "triumph" over Alzheimer's disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hildreth Berg of Oberlin, OH. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Pat Donovan, and granddaughters, Nicole Hughes, Megan Hughes, and Erin Donovan, all of Southaven, MS. Also surviving is his sister, Barbara Mathaios, of Cleveland, OH. He was an owner and VP of Sales of General Packaging Products, Inc. in Medina for 40 years, served on the Medina Board of Zoning Appeals for many years, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Oddfellows. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed helping others with his handyman and landscaping skills. Robert was a veteran of the US Navy. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday May 28, 2016 10am-12 noon at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 408 9th St. SW, Canton, OH 44707, or a charity of your choice.
