Robert James Burton, 82, of Medina, OH passed away on November 27, 2025.

Robert was born on March 11, 1943, to Willa Slayton and Lynn Burton in Newport, AR.  In life, he worked hard to provide as a manual laborer, supervisor, and eventually a business owner in the asphalt and paving industry.

Robert was a devoted father and husband.  He enjoyed playing poker and working far beyond his retirement years.  Some would describe him as a workaholic.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Willa and Lynn, sisters Willouis and Ruth, and brothers Claude, Bobby, Lynn, Benny, as well as a daughter from his previous marriage, Roberta.

Robert is survived by a daughter from his previous marriage and two grandsons.  He is also survived by his wife, Emily, daughter, Virginia Carey (Marvin), and their child on the way, as well as his stepdaughter, Katrina Gerwin (Mike Henson) and his granddaughter, Anneheleen Gerwin-Henson, nephew, Darnell (Lavonya) White, and his dog, Rosie.

Robert will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him in life.
