Robert E. Kastner, Sr., 88, of Brunswick, passed away April 7, 2024.

He was born in Mt. Pleasant, PA on October 14, 1935 to Wilbert and Hazel (Ulery) Kastner.

Survivors include his children, Robert (Janeen) Kastner, Jr., Diane (Chris) Fleming, and Faye (Scott) Barkdull; grandchildren, Vincent, Alex (Karla), Ian, Brandon, Katherine (Sam), and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Zariah and Beau (on the way); and siblings, Bruce and Charles Kastner and LaVerne Hope; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Mary (Hearns); a son, Bryan Kastner, and two daughters, Beverly and Barbara Kastner.

Robert enjoyed woodworking and flying remote controlled airplanes.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Rd., Brunswick, where a Memorial Service will take place at 12 noon, Friday, April 19th. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
