Robert Freeman Murray, 89, of Seville, Ohio was welcomed in to heaven on Saturday, July 1, 2017. He was born on July 26, 1928 in Lynn, Massachusetts to the late Freeman E. and Dorothy (nee Mercer) Murray. Robert proudly served in the US Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict and retired from Chrysler after 26 years as a skilled tradesman. Early in his life he enjoyed flying the skies in his own private plane. He will be lovingly remembered as a continuous and avid learner who was a frequent visitor to many local libraries in Medina, Summit, and Cuyahoga Counties. Robert won first place in the Cleveland AutoRama for the design and build of his own electric car in the early 1980s. Bob enjoyed family vacations and the opportunity to see the ocean. However, his most precious moments were spending time with his grandchildren and talking with anyone about any topic. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Roselyn (nee Armintrout) of 62 years; loving children Donald (Shirley) Murray of Roseville, CA, David (fiancé Holly) Murray of Lakewood, OH, Douglas (Pamela) Murray of Sharon Township, OH, Cynthia (Jeff) Toom of Brunswick, OH, and Darren Murray of Akron, OH; cherished grandchildren Kevin, Zachary, Christine, Mackenzie, Miranda, Jared, Max, Reagan, and Arisa; siblings Richard (Cathy) Murray of Madison, WI, Phyllis (John-deceased) Hamre of Panama City, FL, and Roger (Shirley) of North Canton, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10th at 10:30 AM at Brunswick Reformed Church, 3535 Grafton Road, Brunswick, Ohio following one hour prior for visitation. Pastor Jay Carroll will officiate. Interment with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
