Robert Arthur Schmidt, age 79, of Medina, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2025. He was born in 1946, to parents Arthur and Mildred (Gatzke) Schmidt in Cleveland, Ohio. Bob was a district sales manager and worked at Thermal Ceramics, and Vacuform for over 35 years prior to his retirement. He was an active member of Middle Bass Island Yacht Club and enjoyed boating for over 50 years. Bob was an avid car enthusiast, fisherman, and overall outdoorsman. He was also a gifted musician; he played both string bass and guitar in a band with his brother Ken for many years. Bob loved to cook for both family and friends. After a courageous battle with cancer, Bob focused even more on spending every moment he could making precious memories and enjoying special times with family.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Jacquelyne (Hammel) Schmidt; his loving children, Mike (Karen) Schmidt, Carrie (Steve) Beard, and Bob (Tracy) Schmidt, Jr.; his beloved grandchildren, Joe Beard, Nicole Beard, Jackson Schmidt, and Allie Schmidt; his brother, Ken (Dianne) Schmidt; and many family and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 16, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Waite Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, Ohio 44256 with a funeral service immediately following at 7:00 p.m.
