Roger Radie
Ingraham
June 26, 1937 – December 6, 2024
Roger Radie Ingraham died peacefully in Medina, Ohio on December 6, 2024. Roger was born to Berneta and Roger Ingraham on June 26, 1937.
Roger's father was killed in a plane crash when he was five years old which left him feeling continually protective of his mother. His family lived on Bunker Hill Golf Course which was the family business. He and his brother, Arnold, did whatever was expected of them to help at the golf course. Roger sold tickets and pop, mowed greens and fairways, and was the greenskeeper in high school.
Roger attended Medina High School, Dartmouth College, studied in Vienna, Austria, and graduated from Case Western Reserve University and Case Western Reserve law school.
He is survived by Sarah Jane (Overholt) Ingraham, whom he met in kindergarten, and married in 1962 and three beloved daughters (Ellen, Amy, and Ann), three fine sons-in-law, and four dear grandchildren: Ellen Meinhart (Ray) and their daughters, Lauren and Brooke, Amy Hays (Rob) and their son, Carson, and Ann Ingraham (Drake Cunningham) and their son, Zander. He is also survived by his brother, Arnold Ingraham, and Arnold's wife, Cheri.
Roger was generous, witty, and delighted in playing practical jokes on family and friends. He served in the National Guard and enjoyed golf, sports, western films, trivia games, and fitness.
He valued his lifetime legal profession and served as Medina City law director, Medina County assistant prosecutor, Medina County prosecutor, and Medina County juvenile judge. He also worked for many years in private practice as an attorney. He coached girls' soccer, softball, and basketball and boys' baseball, taught English as a Second Language, tutored elementary school students, and was a Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging ombudsman.
Roger was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and good friend. At Roger's request there will be no funeral, but there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
