Ronald L. Emerson of Litchfield, OH passed away after a period of declining health on March 21, 2026 at the age of 81. Born on September 6, 1944 in Lodi, OH, to Roy and Lorena (Pincombe) Emerson, he lived his entire life in Medina County. He graduated from Medina High School in 1962 and became employed at NASA Lewis Research Center where he remained employed until retirement. Ron was proud of his service as a Past Master of Medina Masonic Lodge 58 F&AM and was passionate about his Harley motorcycle and riding, and was a proud member of the Elyria Owners Group. He enjoyed the freedom of the open road and the camaraderie of fellow riders.

He is survived by children Matt (Sandra) Emerson, Merritt Emerson, Tracy (Nils) Johnson, Ginger Heberlein, Jill Emerson, and Brin (John) Charek; grandchildren Luke and Cole (Emma) Heberlein; Kylie (Brad) McElwain, Jake, Lainey, and Justie Johnson; Olivia (Braeden) Stauffer; Timothy, Daniel and Rachel Emerson; Maximus and Gunner Charek; sibling Joel Emerson and multiple great grandchildren. Ron was predeceased by siblings Thom Emerson and Lilyan Allison, and parents Roy and Lorena Emerson.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal service.
