Ruth Caldwell

Ruth Wanda Caldwell, 83 years old, of West Salem, Ohio, passed away on August 8, 2026. She was born on April 28, 1943 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Walter and Nola Mae (Lewis) Brock.

Ruth was a devoted woman of faith who cherished her family, her church, and the simple joys of life. She was an active and devout member of Medina Church of Christ, where her faith and kindness touched the lives of many. She found great joy in sewing and knitting, creating beautiful handmade treasures. She will be remembered for her warm heart, and the love she shared with her family, friends, and church community. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children Kent Caldwell (Ariane); step-children Cliff Caldwell (Maryanne) and Christina Caldwell-Puckett (Chad); granddaughter Savannah Caldwell; and her sister Christine Coldwell (Obed). She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years Clifford Caldwell; sisters Irene Smith, Zelma Colwell; and her brothers Mike Brock and John Brock.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Spring Grove Cemetery, 785 E. Washington St., Medina, Ohio 44256.
