Ruth A. Gallagher, age 85, of Medina, passed way Sunday, November 17, 2019.  She was born on April 5, 1934 in Cleveland to the late Charles and Irene Schapel.  Ruth retired from The Old Phoenix Bank.

Ruth was the beloved wife of the late George Gallagher, to whom she was married 56 years; loving mother of Sharon (Joe) Traylinek, Kathleen (Tom) Gress, Jeanne (Brian) Anciaux, Susan (Bob) Martz, and John Gallagher; dear grandmother of 7; great grandmother of 3; loving sister of Dorothy Metz, Mary Ann Soloway, Bill Schapel, Richard Schapel, and Bob Schapel.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St. in Medina.  Burial will follow at Poe Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St. in Medina.
