Sandra Lee
Krokos
May 30, 1945 – March 13, 2025
Sandra Lee Krokos, age 79, of Columbia Station, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 13th. She was the beloved wife to the late John Stanley Krokos, preceded in death by her loving sister to Marilyn "Mitzi" Burton, and her cherished parents, Lyle and Georgia Drought.
She was a dedicated mother to Sherri Pleichner, Anna Andrekovic, Gina Smoker, Diana Renish, Andrea Andrekovic, Shannon Krokos (Steve), and Alex Krokos (Jaclyn), as well as many foster children whose lives she touched with love and care. A proud grandmother to Joe, Alanna, Aleinna, Andrew, Autumn, Katie, Daisy, and Ralph, a cherished great-grandmother to Joey and Lee; and everyone's favorite aunt.
Sandy was a gregarious, outgoing individual who filled every room with energy, laughter, and smiles. Her presence was magnetic—she had an uncanny ability to make people feel welcomed, heard, and appreciated. Whether sharing stories, cracking jokes, or simply offering a kind word, Sandy brought joy to those around her. Her generosity and compassion were evident in the countless lives she touched, always willing to lend a helping hand or provide comfort when needed. Sandy's warmth extended far beyond her immediate family, leaving an impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her legacy is one of love, strength, and unyielding kindness. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
