Sharlene Ann Yoskovich

Sharlene Ann (Beal) Yoskovich, born April 27, 1937, in Masontown, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 26, 2026. She was the firstborn child of Oliver and Ruth Beal and, nine years later, became a big sister to her brother, Lyle.

As a teenager, Sharlene worked at a local restaurant and gathering place, where she met the love of her life, Edward Yoskovich, at the age of 16. The two were married in 1957 and moved to Cleveland, where they began their life together. They raised two children and shared 45 years of marriage until Ed’s passing in 2002.

Throughout her life, Sharlene held many different jobs and embraced each chapter with determination and independence. As a young girl, she spent a summer working on a tobacco farm in New England. She later worked at a local restaurant during high school, did office work, earned her real estate license, and also worked in a convenience store and a tax preparation office.

Sharlene enjoyed collecting miniatures and was especially proud of her beautifully furnished dollhouse. In her younger years, she loved to knit whenever time allowed. She took great joy in her home and in decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas.

Sharlene will be remembered for her sense of humor, which stayed with her until the end, and for the friendships she enjoyed during her later years in the comfort of her independent and assisted living community.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward R. Yoskovich, and her parents, Oliver and Ruth Beal.

Sharlene is survived by her brother, Lyle Beal; her son, Barry Yoskovich, and his wife, Nora; her daughter, Tanya (Yoskovich) Dorman, and her husband, Mark Dorman; her grandchildren, Kellie (Yoskovich) Biller, Brandon Biller, Alex Yoskovich, Aidan Dorman and Rebecca, Andrew Dorman and Elizabeth, Ian Dorman and Claire Dorman; and her great-grandchildren, Eric, Elizabeth, and Margaret Dee.

In accordance with Sharlene’s wishes, there will be no viewing or services. Her only wish was to be reunited with Edward at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
