Stacy Deanna-Marie Gilbert, age 48, peacefully passed away on August 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on October 2, 1975, in Barberton, Ohio to Dean T. and Karen E. (Marsfelder) Dyrlund. From a young age, Stacy was gifted with a kind, gentle, and loving spirit. Her kindness, sweet disposition, and beautiful smile only grew with time. Stacy met and married the love of her life, John D. Gilbert and together they had their 4 precious children. She worked the majority of her career in TV production for Fox 8 News in Cleveland. As much as she loved her job, her family was the center of her universe. Stacy never missed any opportunity to support her children, attending every sports game and extracurricular activity. She was also an active member of the St Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Stacy will be greatly missed by all who knew her, remember to always #belikestacy.

Stacy is survived by her beloved husband, John D. Gilbert; her precious children, Elizabeth, Molly, Maeve, and Liam; her parents, Dean and Karen Dyrlund; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her beloved Aunt Joanne.

Stacy's family will receive friends on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E Washington Street, Medina, Ohio 44256. Interment will follow at St Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
