Steve V.
Taranto
December 16, 1942 – October 7, 2024
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Steve V. Taranto, age 81, passed away October 7, 2024. He was born December 16, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late James and Louise (nee Riggillo) Taranto.
A hardworking and devoted family man, Steve will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Hinckley for over 35 years. Steve's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, but especially his devoted wife of more than 61 years, Joanne (nee Evans) Taranto; sons, Mark Taranto and Stephen Taranto (Tisha Richards); grandchildren, Adam, Jack, and Emma; and sister, Phyllis Taranto. In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Taranto and Jimmy Taranto.
The family will welcome guests from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Waite Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 1088 Ridge Road, Hinckley, with interment to follow at Hope Memorial Gardens in Hinckley.
